Curious? What events not to miss at The Festival of Curiosity 2019 this summer in Dublin

The Festival of Curiosity is back in Dublin this summer for a four-day cultural feast of science, arts, design, and technology. It’s our 7th birthday and we’re celebrating! Join us! Invite your friends, your pals and your family to our special Playful Days and Curious Nights festival programme that will take place across Dublin City Centre from July 18-21, 2019.

Playful Days: Experience the spectacular family science show Gastronaut Live! at O’Reilly Theatre or prepare for Voyages to the Moon through vertical dance with Aerial Cirque. For the young explorers (or young at heart) join us at our brand new World Explorers Family Stage as we discover Curious Creatures with National Geographic Explorer Kakani Katija, go Digging for Dinosaurs with Jurassic Park Science Adviser Jack Horner. Meet the giant (and oh so loveable!) Mola Mola Fish at Under the Ocean with National Geographic Explorer Tierney Thys.  Or Discover the Scientific Dilemmas of Dippy the Dinosaur in a family show with Scientific Sue!  For young explorers and curious teens discover how to survive in the outdoors at Adventure Science with the Royal Geographical Society’s Huw James or visit Dublin Maker 2019 in Merrion Square to meet makers and inventors from all over Ireland. Get hands-on with Paper Prototyping at Chester Beatty Library. For little ones (age 4+) discover a world of invention, music, and puppetry in some spellbinding children’s theatre at Cardboard Carnival or join us for a curious storytime at Storybook Adventures at Hodges Figgis. Or discover the world of Bubbleology at the Bubble Science Family Show at the Botanic Gardens

Curious Nights: For foodies, stargazers, dreamers, and explorers make a date with our curious night’s programme of events for adults. Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing at Moonshot with RTÉ’s Rick O’Shea and former NASA Astronaut Cady Coleman. Part Play, Part Human Experiment make a date for the premiere of These Stupid Things a new theatre production from White Label exploring the thin line between logic and intuition. Discover ALSOS an interactive installation / indoor forest where a world of sound is ready to be awoken. Tickle your taste buds at Supper Club for the Curious or take late night picnic under the stars with our Late Night Stargazing at Dunsink Observatory.
