Accidental Recipes

Curious about the origin of Cornflakes? Want a top tip for baking at the top of Everest? Interested in a recipe for Bone Marrow Waffles from 1651? Join Clare Anne O’Keefe for a 45 minute live cookie cook along with a difference.

As we whisk, sieve and bake we will consider the culture, history and science of supposed kitchen failures and how they were reframed as a delicious success.

Participants will receive a recipe and ingredient list to collect in advance. The cook-along will be very simple and the ingredients used in the recipe will be used to spark discussions during this live zoom workshop.

About Clare Ann O'Keefe

Clare Anne O’Keefe has written and published dozens of recipe collections in commercial and editorial print media. She collaborates with brands and individuals developing recipes, ghostwriting books, creating digital and print content and facilitating community culinary events. Clare Anne regularly works with Science Gallery, Dublin. She is a Food Designer with a special interest in Foodways and Contemporary Art.
