Cyanotype 'Sun Print' Workshop .
#ScienceWeek #VirtualEvent
Join photographer and artist Jo Gane for an online workshop exploring light & printmaking & get hands-on by making your own artworks using light sensitive paper and tap water.
The cyanotype process is one of the earliest photographic processes, invented by Sir John Herschel in 1841, it uses non-toxic iron salts and sunlight to create images with a distinctive Prussian blue colour.
Families are welcome to attend this online workshop together. An adult must be in attendance throughout the workshop. Booking essential. Your ticket includes access to the online workshop + 2x pieces of light sensitive paper which we will post to you prior to the event.
During this workshop, as part of the Creating our Future campaign, we will also be asking you to share any big ideas you have that might inspire researchers in Ireland.
