Future Audiences

How will audiences evolve in a post-COVID-19 world? How will engagement and participation change as cultural institutions address social justice issues? Will the current crises speed up innovation in the cultural sector or hamper it?

Join Ian Brunswick as he discusses the future of audiences with cultural participation experts and practitioners. Risa Puno, Creative Time’s inaugural Emerging Artist and New-York based creator of the award-winning Privilege of Escape will speak about her unique style of participatory work. Audrey Whitty, Head of Collections and Learning at National Museum Ireland, will outline how the museum embarked on Covid-collecting and involving the public in their ‘Reflections of Resilience’ project. And writer, curator and researcher Jordan Rowe will talk about being the Museum of London’s first Urbanist in Residence.

About the host: Ian is the Head of Strategic Academic Engagement at Science Gallery Dublin and spent the last year on sabbatical as a curator at the Smithsonian Institution.
