Medieval Science Characters

Join Chester Beatty Library’s maker-in-residence Pantea Karimi for a creative drop-in workshop for families.

Inspired by The Wonders of Creation, join maker-in-residence Pantea Karimi to create ancient scientific characters using collage and 3D materials.

Drop-in workshops for families are suitable for children of all ages and their parents or guardians. Free, no booking required. The workshop is open between the hours of 1 and 3pm on Sunday, July 21st and you can stay for as long as you wish.

About Pantea Karimi:

Meet American-Iranian maker Pantea Karimi who is the maker-in-residence at The Chester Beatty Library in July. Throughout her residency California-based maker Pantea will explore historic Middle Eastern and European scientific manuscripts in the Chester Beatty, deliver a series of workshops for teens and families and co-create learning resources inspired by the collections. Supported by the San Jose Arts and Cultural Exchange grant programme.
