Online Felting Workshop with Rebecca Marsden

Join us for an online felting workshop and learn how heat and friction will shrink and fuse natural wool fibres to create juggling balls, jewellery – even Christmas decorations!

Part of a series of workshops from fashion designer Rebecca Marsden discovering sustainable fabrics, materials, and upcycling during Science Week 2020.


  • Your ticket will include a workshop kit that you will receive in the post prior to the event
  • In addition to the workshop kit, you will also need the following items:
    • Uhu Glue or a Glue Gun
    • A craft knife/scissors
    • A towel and a bowl
  • This workshop is for ages 13+ and an accompanying adult must be in attendance throughout the workshop.

About Rebecca Marsden

Rebecca Marsden is a graduate of the Royal college of Art specialising in Fashion knitwear. Following on from her MA she was selected for the Santoni Pioneer program in Shanghai to further develop her knowledge and understanding of circular and seamless knitting applications.  In recent years Rebecca has worked in an educational capacity, lecturing in Textiles, Fashion and Design.  Her own label has received the ‘IDI’ Award 2016 for Fashion Design, Nissan Brand Ambassador for ‘Generation NeXt’ 2015-2017 ‘Designer of the Year’ and overall ‘Innovation Award’ at the Irish Fashion Innovation.

Science Week is a week-long event in Ireland each November, celebrating science in our everyday lives.
