Discover all the tips & tricks to building your very own own homemade chain reaction machine in a live workshop with Mark Langtry.
Learn the simple science you can use to build a not so simple chain-reaction machine (A.K.A a Rube Goldberg machine). Using materials and anything you can find at home, you’ll be bopping, popping, rocking and rolling with your new crazy, silly, but thoroughly enjoyable invention!
Materials needed to join in with this workshop;
The main thing about a Rube Goldberg machine is that you can really use anything you find around the house, recyclable things are great. Here’s a list of items you will find useful for the workshop.
Some useful objects to have to hand would be;
Something that rolls eg. marble, ping pong ball, tennis ball
Tracks to roll on: toilet roll cardboard, toy train tracks, piping, tubes
Things that fall: Dominoes, lego bricks, lots of books are really great, cereal boxes, cups, lollipop sticks, balloons
Helpful equipment: scissors, roll of tape, string, some paper and colouring pens
