Using everyday materials that can be found at home, the challenge is to stretch your imagination and discover what you can invent from a cardboard box. A new game? A robot arm? A curious contraption inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci?

The Inventor Award, a new global competition for children, where the prize is to be made into a 3D character in a new stop-motion animated film about Leonardo Da Vinci, called The Inventor, written and directed by Pixar story veteran & writer of Rataouillie, Jim Capobianco.

But where do you begin?

Lottie Smith, Cardboard Wizard has put together a whole series of how-to’s for you to start inventing from cardboard. See below for a full workshop where Lottie will bring you through all the different techniques and skills you could use, and some tips & inspiration too!
